Luke lives and works in Leeds but grew up in London. He made his home in Leeds after coming to the city for his degree. Luke writes a lot during the course of his 'day job' but really loves the freedom and creativity of dramas, often with a focus on 'real lives' and local history. He is particularly interested in the movement of people and communities as they strive to form new lives and identities. He is married with three sons.

Mian is a singer songwriter from Bradford with several releases on Spotify iTunes etc. In another life he supplied the backbeat to Bradford bands: Boys From The East and Detrimental. Mian also trained and worked as an actor and has directed short films. Battle for Trafalgar is his first play

Sally’s creative writing journey spans several decades with an emphasis on poetry, children’s books and, more recently, script writing. She is a member of Script Yorkshire and founder member of Holmfirth Writers’ Group (HWG), which has been running weekly for over 15 years, and its offshoot Holme Valley Poets

Seki has written for print and digital publications, creative agencies, art and science events, museums and himself. Subjects range from music, hypnosis, motor neurone disease, samurai, mycelium, romance, travel, therapeutic psychedelics, depression, billionaires and, of course, booze.

Chérie Taylor Battiste was born in London, and raised in Leeds. After graduating in
African Studies at (SOAS) she was a TV researcher, gaining a place on accelerated progress scheme. After moving into acting, she had various roles, winning the Norman Beaton Fellowship, and joining the BBC Radio Drama Company.

Janice Sampson, a Sheffield born Actor & writer, veteran of stage & screen and the qwerty keyboard. Having read a particularly dreadful book in 1994, I said I was sure I could do better so, I got my pen & paper out, rolled my sleeves up and wrote my first story.

I am a retired librarian living in Harrogate with my husband Jim, and our dog, Beth. I have always had a love of books and writing and my other main interests are fell running and walking the dog.

Ruby Clarke is a writer/director based in York. Since completing her MA in Writing, Directing and Performance she has worked on many performances including The York Mystery Plays 2012, The Guinea Pig Club and the 2013 Waggon Plays as well as shorter Fringe pieces around York and festivals.

Joleen White is an English and Film studies graduate of the University of Hull. She has also studied the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education for adult learners in Hull. Currently, she lives in Hull and was born in Wakefield.

I grew up in 1950s Salford. The family home was a terraced house in a street that visitors nicknamed Coronation Street. I left school in 1966 and started work at a local textile mill as a laboratory assistant, testing the products made on the factory floor.

I loved writing as a teenager and feel I have now come full circle back to writing. I have been a community activist for the last 22years, volunteering for a number of charitable organisations, working in inter-faith, organising educational conferences and running parenting groups.
