RUBY CLARKE
Ruby Clarke is a writer/director based in York. Since completing her MA in Writing, Directing and Performance she has worked on many performances including The York Mystery Plays 2012, The Guinea Pig Club and the 2013 Waggon Plays as well as shorter Fringe pieces around York and festivals.

Ruby Clarke is a writer/director based in York. Since completing her MA in Writing, Directing and Performance she has worked on many performances including The York Mystery Plays 2012, The Guinea Pig Club and the 2013 Waggon Plays as well as shorter Fringe pieces around York and festivals.
As Artistic Director of TakeOver Festival 2013 at York Theatre Royal she delivered two showcase evenings of new work, The Imaginarium and Night of the Barghest, the latter involving an interactive, immersive theatre experience. She also directed Quicksand, a new play to mark the ten year anniversary of the Gulf War, and Neil LaBute’s The Mercy Seat in the York Theatre Royal Studio.
She is the 2013 Script Factor Final Winner for her piece Home, where two astronauts on a fatal mission look back over the joys of life on Earth. Her first full length play, Border Line, will be produced in the spring of next year.
