Janice Sampson, a Sheffield born Actor & writer, veteran of stage & screen and the qwerty keyboard. Having read a particularly dreadful book in 1994, I said I was sure I could do better so, I got my pen & paper out, rolled my sleeves up and wrote my first story.
I am a retired librarian living in Harrogate with my husband Jim, and our dog, Beth. I have always had a love of books and writing and my other main interests are fell running and walking the dog.
I loved writing as a teenager and feel I have now come full circle back to writing. I have been a community activist for the last 22years, volunteering for a number of charitable organisations, working in inter-faith, organising educational conferences and running parenting groups.
I grew up in 1950s Salford. The family home was a terraced house in a street that visitors nicknamed Coronation Street. I left school in 1966 and started work at a local textile mill as a laboratory assistant, testing the products made on the factory floor.
I love to tell stories, voiceover script and edit waveforms; my interests and passion. A multimedia journalist, broadcaster, writer, announcer, compère, voice-over audio producer, creative thinker, lover of laughter, truth and wisdom seeker.
